★ Meet and Chat with Maiko on Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays

If you come to the traditional Tea House, you can talk and enjoy a drink with a Geiko-san or Maiko-san directly.

But in most of the tea houses, it's high price, and you may need an invitation from the person who visit there repeatedly.

The guide book says you may come across Maiko-san in the evening if you come to Gion,,,,,

but hard to see by chance,,,

because you never know when they'll pass by in the street.

Is there any good chance to meet and talk to Maiko-san?

YES, there's a place! Now I'm happy to recommend here, "Maiko Hana no Seki" program.

You can enjoy elegant and traditional "Maiko-san" dance by a real “maiko” at Gion tea house, especially for this little money, just 4800yen/person.

During the show, green maccha powdered tea and a traditional sweet will be served.

You can chat and take photos with Maiko-san (using your own camera).

The number of participants is limited (12 maximum), so you can fully enjoy this special opportunity

If you come to Kyoto on weekend, you can't miss this exceptional experience!

Don't forget to list your questions to Maiko-san! :)

By the time you come to say goodbye you'll no doubt feel quite familliar with the world of the Maiko!:)

Gion Maru-ume is located very close to the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo theater, in the heart of Kyoto’s Gion district.

Fee: 4,800yen/person
* Payment must be in "Japanese Yen" by cash, at the cashier before the performance.

Times: Please choose - from 14:00 to 14:45 OR 15:00 to 15:45
(the performance and tea lasts about 45 min.)
* Only on Sat., Sun. and national holidays

Reservation needed
e-mail mcr-co@vp.117.ne.jp

* Notes: Once you make a reservation, the date and time can not be changed.

Enjoy spending a relaxing while with one of Gion's very own Maiko
